EQUINE FLEXION THERAPY

a system for Horse Owners

by Dan Marcum

A new clinic in 2009 for horses with flexing and out of the normal problems such as stiffness, high headed, irritable, tail switching, can't run, circle, back or stop correctly, or for any soreness from lame or foundered horses.

This is a system for horse owners to be able to keep their horses flexible and properly aligned by deep motion flexing, massage, stretching, and poly chromatic light therapy, through techniques of flexing each joint in the spine. The horse will be more comfortable, happier and perform better. This system can also help make horse owners aware of problems that will need professional treatment.

The skeleton of a horse would be nothing but a pile of bones if not for ligaments. Ligaments support the skeleton and its joints. They hold everything together. Muscles and tendons are connected. Muscles contract and pull the tendons which move the bones which move the horse.

The unreleased muscle contractions, called UMC’s, can affect movement of the bones as the muscles pull against each other.

UMC’s can cause severe pain or discomfort. The joint may be locked or fixed in one or both directions, or at least limited in its motion.
