New Equine Courses including Massage offered by the FNRC in Georgia

The Farriers’ National Research Center offers a variety of continuing education courses at their location in Northwest Georgia. Established in 2000, alongside the Casey and Son Horseshoeing School (est. in 1989) and the BWFA Headquarters, these 3 entities offer an array of farrier related beginner and advanced courses and clinics. Horse owners have been invited to the event but now owners, farriers and any equine enthusiasts are welcome to participate (with their own horses) in a form of Massage Therapy known as Equine Flexion Therapy in addition to Equine Dentistry, Nikken Magnetic Therapy, Trim Classes, Nutrition, Hoof Rebuilding and various specialty shoeing by staff and farriers within the BWFA. All subjects are related to the hooves and overall “health” of the horse which are the focus of a Certified Farrier. “We encourage every equine professional to acquire the knowledge to perform or refer services needed by offering these subjects to farriers first” per Ralph Casey, BWFA President.

The most recent Open House “Spring Fling” Clinic was held on May 15-16, 2010 to introduce these courses to the public. The next public Open House Event will be during the BWFA Annual Horseshoers Convention on October 22-23, 2010. A monthly Calendar of Events is available online at www.bwfa.net.

Scenes and interviews of participants will be highlighted on Dish Network Channel 9411 on the popular TV Show, Horseshoe’n Time, hosted by Ralph Casey and produced at the FNRC. Go to www.HorseshoenTime.tv for a schedule and click-on DVD to watch shows on YouTube.com
