Casey started his horseshoeing school in 1988. He soon saw a need for providing more education for horse owners about the role the farrier plays in the overall health and care of the horse. As a result, he and seven others formed the Brotherhood of Working Farriers Association, Inc, a non-profit organization which now has a membership of over 8,000 farriers and horse owners. Casey, along with a group of caring horse owners and farriers, established and constructed the first Farriers' National Research Center, located in LaFayette, Georgia. This facility, opened in 2001, offers on-going research of techniques of shoeing and corrective shoeing by farriers and provides a continuing education program for farriers at all levels. The need to educate the public on hoof care led to the creation of Casey Productions LLC, and Horseshoe'n Time television show.
